I was just checking out the statistics for this webpage since putting up this daily comic, and it seems like traffic has skyrocketed. Well, skyrocketed for me. Which is cool. Getting close to 1000 page requests a day now, up from probably 100. Funny what putting new content up every day will do for your traffic…even when I haven’t really done much in the way of promoting this yet.

It will be interesting to see what happens in December and January. December being a month when there won’t be any new comics going up, and January being a month where new comics ARE going up but under a MWF update schedule.

Now, since this is my first time actually doing a webcomic for real (though technically you could say that I’m serializing a graphic novel online, since print is the intended final medium for these comics) I could certainly use and would appreciate your feedback. What about this site am I doing wring, what am I doing right? How many of you have subscribed through RSS? How many are following this through the LIvejournal syndicated feed? ( )

Hell, just comment to this and assure me that this sudden influx of traffic isn’t spambots preparing an attack.

And, once again, thanks for stopping by.

  • Hi, saw the pw ad on krazykimchi. Nice comic!

You need to keep track of the uniques, thats what tells you how many individual readers you’re getting.

    Why, thank you!
Hope you keep checking back. :)

  • Yeah, Uniques and # of visits per unique to show if you are getting repeat viewers. I’m trying to build both for my web comic right now too. It’s difficult to get started isn’t it?

The traffic right now indicates that a lot of people are coming here for the first time and reading the entire comic straight through, which is pretty cool. Hopefully if I’ve fucked anything up on the uploading of pages, these are the people who will let me know.

p.s. In answer to your post on another Comicpress site…this is the greatest comic known to man. :)

Hi! I got here from your add at Girls with Slingshots. I’m really enjoying the story so far. It’s very interesting to watch all the stories intertwine, and I’m looking forward to see where all of this is going. Thanks for all of your work!

Oh, and in answer to your question about what you could do better, I can’t seem to find a way to bookmark a specific page in your comic. Wherever I am, the address is always no matter where you go.

Thanks for stopping by. Since you came from the Girls With Slingshots site, I hope that you’ve found the story that Danielle drew for Plastic Farm. (If not, go to the archive section and find “Flavor Of My Love”.)

Regarding bookmarking…that’s something I never thought of. The webcomic page itself is built through Comicpress, but I have it set in a frame in the main site (which is why every page shows up as ) The comic itself can be found at the url and navigating on that page itself will get you the bookmarkable urls.

I seem to recall seeing a plugin for bookmarks though. I’ll have to try to remember where…it is a good idea, considering the length of the comic…

  • Well, shit, Rafer, it’s about time you got around to gettin’ this out! I was going crazy
Seriously, looking forward to the next big exciting mind-blowing chapter!
